This year's Celebration of Wishes Gala was held at Flower Stems by Homewood Florist.
Senator Jabo Waggoner served as the event's honorary chair, while Homewood Mayor Barry McCulley and Fox6 reporter Christie del Amo served as honorary co-chairs. The highlight of the evening was granting the wish of eight-year-old Ryan, who suffers from cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder. Ryan’s wish was to have a customized bicycle to meet his physical needs.

Guests enjoyed silent and live auctions with auctioneer Dave Barry, including the auctioning
of sponsorship for two wishes: Logan’s wish to go to the rodeo in Cody, Wyo., and
Alex’s wish to go fly-fishing in Gardner, Mont.

An excellent dinner was provided by Brio Tuscan Grill. In keeping with the fun and excitement of wish granting, Soho Sweets enticed the guests with a build-your-own cupcake dessert bar complete with assorted chocolate candies, sprinkles, and chocolate butter cream icing.

Guests also enjoyed dancing to the sounds of Alan Eades.

This event was a great success, raising more than $45,000 to grant nine wishes for Alabama children!
